Facebook and Ray-Ban jointly launched their first smart glasses.

There are 20 different models with which you can take photos, video, listen to music and receive calls.

The 'Ray-Ban Stories' integrate 5MP cameras that will allow you to capture first person moments and record up to 30 seconds of video using one button.

When you are filming, an LED light will turn on to let the people around you know that you are taking photos.

These lenses also integrate three microphones with which you can make voice transmission in your videos and even answer calls.

You won't have to worry about outside noise thanks to the fact that they integrate Beamforming technology and an algorithm that eliminates background noise.

The launch of three models with different colors, materials and finishes for our first generation product is a great achievement.

  • Philips Hue smart lights already react to your Spotify songs

The 'Ray-Ban Stories' will have a starting price of USD $ 299 and can already be purchased through the online store of the lens brand in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Italy and Australia.

Lenses that work with an app

Ray-Ban Stories are paired with the new Facebook View application, with which users can easily share their stories and photos on social media.

The app is available on Android and iOS and will allow you to import, edit and share content captured with smart glasses to Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, and more.

You can also save content to your phone's camera gallery, edit and share it from there.

Ray-Ban Stories lenses include a specially designed portable charging case, so you can easily recharge them and keep them protected while on the go.

A full charge of the case provides three additional consecutive days of use.

  • 'The Frame' by Samsung, an incredible television that transforms into a work of art

These lenses collect necessary data such as the battery status to notify you when the battery is low, your email address and the password of your Facebook login, to verify that it is really you when you log in to the Facebook View application, and your connection to WiFi.

You can choose to share additional data that includes things like the number of images you captured or the time you spent recording videos with Facebook.

The company ensures that this information will be used for the development, improvement and customization of products.
